Tagisia Kilei Tepuu

Born January 19, 1943, Nanumea
Passed away June 12, 2007, Funafuti, age 64 years


Tagisia and grandchild, 15 Dec 2003Tagisia Kilei, son of Kilei Tepuu and Sepoima Paulu, passed away suddenly while fishing on the ocean reef near his home in Funafuti. He leaves behind his loving wife Huao, and many children and grandchildren. Rest in peace Tagisia.

Ellaine Siliga Tala

Born September 1, 1962, Nanumea

Passed away January 2, 2009, Auckland, age 46 years

Ellaine Siliga Tala Ellaine Siliga Tala, daughter of Hetoifaiva and Neiaso, adopted daughter of Timi and Fakalepa, passed away in Auckland after a short illness. She leaves behind her loving husband Siliga, and a large family including Tavita, Tiopa, Penina, Lomani and others. Rest in Peace Ella, Moe mo te Atua.

 

 


Manoa Filipi

Born 1942, Nanumea
Passed away August 9, 2009, Suva, age 67 years


Manoa FilipiManoa, beloved husband of Joyce M. Lilo, passed away in Suva after a serious illness. His family and many friends miss his smiling face and generous spirit. Rest in peace Manoa.

Luseta Saamu

Born February 24, 1954, Nanumea
Passed away January 26, 2010, Auckland, age 55 years


Luseta SaamuLuseta Timaio (the wife of Timaio Saamu) passed away in Auckland, New Zealand on January 26th, 2010 after a long illness. Her funeral service, attended by large numbers of family members and friends, was held in Auckland on January 28th. Timaio and Luseta’s family, and the larger Nanumea family in New Zealand (as well as back in Nanumea) will miss Luseta dearly.
Here is further information kindly provided by Siliga Tala in Auckland: “Matua o Luseta ko Moti mo Fafetai kae ni avaga kia Timaio Saamu. E toko tolu la tama kae ni tagata katoa, ko Moti, True mo Sefa. Ko Timaio tenei e noho mo la tama i Aukilani nei. Ko tolu tupu tauhaga ni mahaki ai Luseta kae tenei ni to malolo i tigaina o ona mahaki.”
